At Three Ravens Business Strategies, we help businesses, nonprofits, and government clients navigate complexity with clarity, precision, and strategic insight. As a veteran-owned firm, we combine military discipline, legislative experience, and corporate leadership to deliver high-impact project management, government strategy, and organizational growth solutions.
We specialize in helping clients streamline operations, strengthen compliance, and position themselves for long-term success in environments shaped by regulation, public policy, or high-stake decisions. Whether building internal systems, advising through sensitive government matters, or driving donor and development strategy, our mission is the same: to empower organizations with the strategy, structure, and support they need to achieve their goals with confidence and excellence.

Paul Alvin Slough, Jr., co-founder and Managing Partner of Three Ravens Strategies, is a decorated U.S. Army veteran and trusted government strategist with deep experience at the intersection of public policy, national security, and veteran advocacy.
Paul has built a career navigating some of the most complex operational and political environments in the world. His early service as an Army combat veteran and Protective Security Specialist with Blackwater shaped his expertise in high-stakes decision-making, operational leadership, and compliance-driven missions.
Following his military and federal contracting career, Paul transitioned into state government, serving in both the Texas Senate and now the Texas House of Representatives. His professional and volunteer work focus on legislative strategy, constituent services, veteran policy, mental health advocacy and government operations and serves as the Veteran member of the Denton County MHMR Board—giving him firsthand insight into how state and federal systems function, move, and respond to pressure.
Paul is also a nationally recognized voice in the veteran community. As a co-author and central figure of the HarperCollins 2025 release Raven 23: How the Department of Justice Betrayed American Heroes, he has become an advocate for justice reform, government accountability, and support for veterans navigating wrongful prosecution, mental health challenges or bureaucratic overreach. His platform and credibility within military, veteran, and policy networks continue to grow as he leads conversations around accountability and reform.
In the private sector, Paul served as Operations Director for a medical group, where he streamlined organizational systems, strengthened compliance frameworks, and created operational structure to enable growth. His background in operations, legislative strategy, and real-world crisis navigation gives him a uniquely practical and actionable approach to problem-solving.
Today, Paul brings this rare combination of experience and connections—military, operational, legislative, and advocacy—to clients seeking clarity, stability, and strategic advantage within government-influenced environments.
